What is integrative psychiatry?
Integrative psychiatry is the practice of combining traditional psychiatry with evidence-based complementary therapies in order to achieve optimal mental health and well-being. Conventional approaches including medication and psychotherapy are incorporated into complementary therapies such as nutrition, supplements, exercise, mind-body practice, religion/spirituality, etc. It focuses on the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) and not just the illness or disease. Depending on the severity of your condition, integrative treatments may help reduce your need for medication or can be a first step if you are not ready to start a psychotropic agent. We will work together to decide what is the right path for you.
Do you take insurance?
I am not in network for any insurance providers. I have partnered with Reimbursify to help you submit out-of-network claims. After your appointment I will provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance to assist with your claim.
Why don’t you take insurance?
As an integrative psychiatrist, I offer a holistic approach to care that incorporates both traditional psychiatric treatments and complementary therapies. These treatments can be hard to find within the current insurance-based model of care. By not taking insurance, I can offer a more comprehensive and personalized approach to your care, without being limited by insurance restrictions.
How do I prepare for my initial evaluation?
Please complete initial intake forms at least 48 hours prior to your appointment so I can have to time to review your paperwork. This will allow us to make the most use of our time together.
Do you see patients virtually?
I offer both in-person and virtual visits.
What is your cancellation policy?
All appointments must be cancelled at least 24-hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be responsible for half of the appointment fee.
